HOPLITE Workshop Feedback Reflected in the Release of AIL v6.8

UCD Centre for Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Investigation is pleased to promote the release of AIL version 6.8 delivered by Aurélien Thirion and CIRCL (Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg).

This release contains key features requested by Irish Law Enforcement and Security Agencies at our HOPLITE Workshop in UCD on 3rd & 4th March 2026 including:

– New quick search bar
– Beginner-friendly YARA rule builder.

AIL is an open source framework to collect, crawl, process and analyse unstructured data from the clear web, Tor, and modern communication platforms.

HOPLITE is an EU-funded project to provide Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and Judicial Authorities (JAs) with an intuitive platform for launching OSINT campaigns, receiving threshold-level incident alerts, and exchanging threat intelligence with trusted partners.
