The HOPLITE project partners recently got together in person, in Luxembourg, at the twelve-month stage of the EU funded HOPLITE project. It was good to have the full consortium meeting together: CIRCL (Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg), Timelex, and all of us at UCD Centre for Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Investigation.

We were also glad to have members of our law enforcement steering group with us: our colleagues from An Garda Síochána. Having investigators in attendance and present in the room with us was of enormous benefit. This helps keeps the work being undertaken in the project at a level that is both practical and focused on what our law enforcement partners actually need.

Some great conversations and a lot of very informative discussions were held. A great deal of progress was made with us clearly establishing where we were in the project, and we were able to leave the meeting with a clear plan mapped out for the road ahead to September 2027.

We thank everyone who contributed to these valuable two days, particularly our colleagues in CIRCL who were fantastic hosts, and we look forward to the next phase of the project.
