HOPLITE is a 2-year EU funded project that is focused on helping law enforcement identify and prioritise online threats in real time through stronger intelligence sharing, improved AIL–MISP workflow, and AI-driven media analysis.
In April 2026 UCD-CCI analysts were pleased to take part in Hackathon.lu and present on behalf of the HOPLITE project. UCD-CCI thanks CIRCL (Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg), our project partners, for the invitation.
At the event, UCD CCI analysts Alex Cronin and David Curran contributed to talks and hands-on hackathon activity around AI-enhanced MISP capabilities, including image and video analysis, student training, and reverse image search development. This work aligns strongly with operational needs we have seen from law enforcement users and with HOPLITE’s wider goal of delivering practical, scalable tools for investigators.
