UCD Centre for Cybersecurity & Cybercrime Investigation and CIRCL (Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg) hosted a two-day, hands-on HOPLITE workshop on the UCD campus focused on gathering end-user feedback to steer the next stage of development.
The event benefited from strong engagement from experts in An Garda Síochána, the National Cyber Security Centre, Ireland (NCSC-IE), and the Irish Defence Forces.
The workshop theme was that of Enhancing State Security Services Capabilities through Real Time Intelligence Gathering, and a format was used of live demonstrations and structured feedback sessions.
The following was demonstrated and tested with end-users:
• Intelligence gathering and analysis workflows using AIL + MISP
• Analysers to process multiple data types on the fly, including OCR, image description, and geolocation.
The feedback gathered from this end-user workshop is being used to refine how the HOPLITE platform operates and align it with end-user requirements.
